CY is excited to announce that we are combining our choirs into one incredible mixed-voice choir, the Commonwealth Youth Choir! We are also partnering with the Philadelphia Boys and Girls Choirs to continue offering opportunities to sing in world-class boys or girls choirs. Audition Details
4th Graders and lower grades – Girls in 4th Grade or lower need not audition to join, but a meeting with the prospective Signer and Parent is required.
Auditioning for PG (5th grade and older) – Girls who are 5th grade or above must audition. But don’t worry! Auditions are quick, easy, and fun! Prospective Singers should plan on singing “Happy Birthday.” Optionally, they can sing a song of their choosing a cappella (voice only, no instrument). If they play an instrument and they wish to play a short piece, they are welcome to bring their instrument along (we’ll supply the piano if that is her instrument). But again, this is optional. They need not play an instrument to join PG.
